01.04.2024 - Tetra Tech Beograd - Power System Modeler - Energy Sector Associate Tetra Tech Beograd Power System Modeler - Energy Sector Associate Position responsibilities Manage, source, and execute consulting engagements focused on energy sector projects, initiatives, or policies to drive the energy and climate transition. Support the technical delivery of projects focused on clean energy, decarbonization, and the development and operation of flexible power systems using global best practices. Provide overall project management support and advisory on a portfolio of Tetra Tech projects. Execute a business development plan for Europe and Eurasia and cooperate closely with other Tetra Tech operating units in Europe with a view to collaborating on new opportunities and approaches with new clients. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor`s degree in engineering 3 years of progressive energy sector experience in electricity utilities and/or consulting firms, including working with a variety of clients and donors History of working in power system planning and/or operations, with a deep understanding of power system modeling, load flow calculations, contingency analysis, renewable energy intermittency impacts, dynamic and short-circuit analysis, shunt reactor planning, and energy storage technologies integration. Experience with power system simulation software (e.g., DigSilent PowerFactory and/or Siemens PSS/E) Experience with market modeling software (e.g., Plexos and/or Antares) Proficiency with data analysis and programming tools such as Python, MATLAB, VBA Understanding of the European energy market and related regulatory framework (EU acquis on energy) Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Valued Qualifications Master`s degree in engineering Experience in market modeling, adequacy analysis, scheduling, dispatch, frequency control. Willingness to travel internationally to project locations and conferences. Experience in the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe Other language skills (e.g., Ukrainian, Russian, German).  |
