Internship – Electrical Design Support

About the role
Essi tec d.o.o. is looking for an Electrical Engineering student to join our team as an intern, supporting our projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside senior engineers on real, high-profile electrical design projects, gaining exposure to railway standards, technical documentation, and CAD-based design work.

Responsibilities
Support the electrical design team with AutoCAD drafting, drawing cleanup, and attribute/block management
Assist in preparing and formatting technical documents (concept reports, calculation sheets, specifications)
Help maintain document version control, cross-referencing, and consistency across deliverables
Support data entry and organization for cable sizing, load calculations, and equipment lists
Assist with minor drawing updates and markups under engineer supervision
General administrative support for the engineering team

Requirements
Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program (Bachelor`s or Master`s level)
Working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D drafting, layers, blocks/attributes)
Strong skills in Microsoft Word/Excel document formatting; attention to detail
Basic understanding of electrical schematics and terminology
English is a must
Organized, reliable, able to follow structured documentation standards

Nice to have
Familiarity with EPLAN
Exposure to railway, building services, or industrial electrical systems
Interest in EN 50343 or TSI LOC&PAS standards
