15.04.2024 - Wyss&Lila Beograd - Senior Electrical Design Engineer Wyss&Lila Beograd Senior Electrical Design Engineer We`re entering a pivotal phase of technological expansion and are actively recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d) to join our International Project Team in designing interior electrical installations of modern, luxury train, that will be assembled in European Union. The candidate should be capable of independently resolving routine design issues and applying knowledge/training to complex tasks with minimal supervision. This position may include occasional business travel to project sites abroad, offering you the chance to make a significant impact in the field of railway system engineering within a dynamic, international environment. About the company: Specializing in bespoke rolling stock engineering solutions for sustainability, we focus on elevating the reliability, availability, and maintainability metrics across global railway projects — locomotives, passenger trains, metros, and infrastructure "yellow" machines. With a newly established, state-of-the-art engineering hub in Serbia and Switzerland, we are rolling out projects which are running exclusively across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. Your Responsibilities Elaboration of technical specification lighting system, air conditioning system, anti-fire protection system, schematics for electrical cabinet, technical specification of electrical equipment in accordance with requirements Interior fittings Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans, schematics, layout drawings and work schedules. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications, implementing quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy, reliability, and safety of electrical designs. Collaborating, converse, and actively participate in meetings with multidisciplinary international teams and project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address design-related challenges and provide technical support to other Electrical Design engineers. Efficiently managing work and coordinating electrical design aspects of railway project to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives. Taking proactive actions and project decisions to avoid or to mitigate risks for railway assets, equipment, process, or systems failures. Up to date with the latest trends and advancements in railway engineering, applying this knowledge to projects. Your Profile Bachelor`s or master`s degree in electrical engineering Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical design engineering for Low & Middle voltage Direct experience in the Railway industry in both single and multidisciplinary projects will be considered as an advantage. Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Fluency in English language (C1/C2) is essential. Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and high-pressure scenarios. Additional licenses or certifications may be required (350, 352, 353, anti-fire protection respective licenses) Practical experience with CAD as well as with AUTODESK REVIT or similar BIM applications. Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities. Willingness to travel for project assignments, as needed.
