31.12.2023 - Rivian Beograd - Sr Power Electronics Controls and Software Validation Engineer Rivian Beograd Sr Power Electronics Controls and Software Validation Engineer Our team develops firmware and controls for a diverse array of power conversion systems, encompassing both vehicle and energy products, such as DC fast chargers, residential bidirectional chargers, and onboard power electronics systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) development platforms, tools, and infrastructure. Responsibilities Collaborate with Systems Engineering to define requirements, develop comprehensive system and subsystem level test specifications and test plans, and provide feedback to development teams for each new design and release. Develop and execute comprehensive system and sub-system level test specifications and test plans and provide feedback to development teams. Drive the execution of the software test framework, from the high-level architecture to the detailed development. This includes working with controls and software developers to define test requirements, developing test cases, and executing and analyzing test results, while ensuring traceability of test cases to requirements. Ensure hardware performance is achieved successfully when integrated on bench and in vehicle. Troubleshoot and root cause, document, and drive to issue resolution. Investigate field issues through data analysis and issue reproduction. Conduct failure analysis to understand root cause and drive resolution for failures originating in testing and from the field. Use data-driven closed-loop modeling to drive system-wide optimizations, leveraging field and fleet data sets. Develop telemetry and analytics platform enabling data collection, analysis and visualization of data reported from Rivian fleet. Partner with functional safety engineer to validate safety test cases. Qualifications Bachelor`s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline. Master`s degree preferred. 3+ years of experience with HIL specification, design, and implementation. 3+ years of experience with test case design, automation, and execution. Deep knowledge of HIL and real-time testing software tools such as Typhoon, NI, dSPACE, or similar. Ability to optimize build and test flow using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Unix shell. Practical experience programming in Python and C. Experience with flash tools and software release pipelines. Experience integrating with and bringing up CI/CD systems. Experience with automation and build tools (Jenkins, Docker, SCons). Hands-on experience in using test equipment and validation tools (CANalyzer, CANape or similar XCP/CCP interface tools, JTAG/DAP interface debuggers). Comfortable with using schematics and layout files to understand design information. Experience in component and system integration, testing, and verification on system and vehicle level. Proficient in system-level software, in particular hardware-software interactions, and resource utilization. Knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulations, industry benchmarks, and customer requirements.  |
