19.6.2013 - Energy Solutions d.o.o. - O&M SCADA and Control Manager, Maintenance and Protection O&M Manager, O&M Substations Manager BAJ O&M SERVICES & ENERGY AG and ENERGY SOLUTIONS DOO are looking for: O&M SCADA and Control Manager We are looking for highly motivated individuals to participate in the project for Commissioning and Taking over of Substations and provision of Operation and Maintenance services. Project summary The Project consists of a greenfield power plant comprising 3 open cycle gas turbines type LM 6000PD with SPRINT and Chillers, supplied by GE under a separate EPC Contract executed by Group Five of South Africa with a total generating capacity of 140 MW located at Osisioma, 4 km north west of the center of the city of Aba in Abia State, Federal Republic of Nigeria. A number of major airlines (Lufthansa, Air France, Emirates, British Airways, Turkish Airlines) are operating daily lines to and fro Nigeria, with connections to Lagos and Abuja. The nearest airports to Aba are in Oweri and P. Harcourt with daily connections with other main cities. Main objective of the Commissioning phase is to and establish adequate O&M procedures and train local staff so that they are able to take over the running of the system after expiration of O&M contract. Process should also include preventive maintenance in order to reduce probability of breaks in power supply. Short description of Substations system Substations are in the final stage of completion and are part of the Private Power Plant Aba (APP) project, owned by Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL). The system consists of: Main substation with APP 33kV GIS double busbar switchgear with four incomers from GTU transformers 60MVA and 11 feeders within Power Plant fence Four new substations 33/11kV, 2x15MVA Three leased and fully refurbished PHCN (Power Holding Company of Nigeria) substations: Umuode, Aba Control and Power Station O&M Substation operative center will be in APP substation with maintenance workshop, spare part and tools store and parking for vehicles. Considering that Leased PHCN substations require a two phase refurbishment, estimated Pre-Operational Period is six to nine months. Required Education & Experience B. Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering Working Experience: Minimum of ten years of relevant experience with focus on commissioning and O&M of substations A proven background in operations and maintenance of substations backed by the documented reference list Fluency in English Computer skills: PC Operating systems, MS office Key responsibilities In charge of permanent control of central control and data acquisition Control of SCADA for complete Substation system Urgent repair of faulty equipment and installation of the new ones including checking of functionality fault reporting and purchasing requisition if required Control of storage facility and minimal spare parts and equipment required stock level Project tasks: Implementation of the modern program for O&M procedures according to real needs: Data collection and storage Maintenance procedures for each type of equipment: material, tools, vehicles, planned time for intervention and other procedures requested by Client.
