For the purpose of supporting their activities and service capability on projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE, we are inviting dynamic, open-minded and ambitious individuals, interested in gaining new professional experiences in a truly multinational environment, to apply for one of the following positions: Site Quality Control Inspector Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for construction quality control activities, such as verification of implementation of inspection plans, within assigned project * Determines requirements for and prepares technical and administrative documents and reports; * Within assigned area, monitors the performance and overall progress of construction inspections to ensure adherence to the quality control program * Surveys subcontractor QC activities * Monitors and tracks NCRs (Non Conformance Report) in assigned area * Issues Quality Action Notices * Maintains quality control records in support of activities in area of responsibility * Ensures testing requirements of specifications are completed and witnesses all tests * Monitors activities of subcontractors to ensure construction, materials and installations comply with project specifications and quality control criteria Requirements / Experience: * Degree in an engineering or related scientific discipline * Minimum 4 to 5 years overall experience in engineering related to projects * Minimum 2 years of work experience in quality control aspects of construction inspection, testing and installation activities * Strong background in the areas of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering and Integration or Security Sensors * Fluency in English Electrical Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for the construction effort through the supervision of electrical personnel of the subcontractor and site electrical engineers in assigned area of project * Coordinates subcontractor activities to ensure orderly and efficient completion of work * Supports activities of the Program HS&E Plan and procedures and attends toolbox meetings * Provide support to H&S Officers on the site and reports temporary and permanent electrical installation works which are not safe and non-compliant * Monitors installation against design to ensure compliance and best practice * Reports issues of non-conformance and poor quality in liaison with the QC Engineer * Supports the Construction Manager to ensure timely completion against schedule and makes recommendations to increase resources to improve performance, where required * Provides inspection of completed work packages and recommendation of sign-off to the Construction Manager * Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with the subcontractors and project stakeholders * Ensures subcontractors compliance with Permit to Work systems and operating company procedures * Witnesses testing of electrical installations including SWBs, DBs, Grounding, etc * Ensures subcontractors compliance with HSE and QA/QC Plans * Assists Construction Manager with coordination of the supplied materials and tracking of Asset inventory Requirements / Experience: * Minimum of 6 years of construction related experience in electrical and infrastructure projects, with at least 2 years of experience as Electrical Supervisor, preferably in a secure environment * Relevant trade qualification and/or professional membership * Knowledge of the BS Electrical Code and the ADWEA electrical Regulation is a must * Sound knowledge of electrical construction techniques and craft skills * Good interpersonal skills and work organization and prioritization skills * Sound knowledge and proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel and Word * English language ability GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * Flexible and open-minded attitude in working with diverse nationalities and cultures * Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and adapt to the fast pace working environment * Valid driving license “B” category If you are interested in one of these career opportunities please send your detailed resume in English, stating the position title in the mail subject, to the following e-mail address: konkurscityscope_63758@infostud.com Deadline for applications: 30.03.2011. |
