In the desert of the United Arab Emirates, one of the world`s biggest solar plants is helping to power the fast growing city of Dubai, host of this year`s UN climate talks. Advocates say it`s also a shining example of why so-called solar thermal technology needs to be deployed in Australia if the country wants secure, green energy.
