Lead Electrical Engineer The successful candidate will provide Electrical Design Engineering services to the designated project or projects. The basic requirements for this position are as follows: • Familiar with Design and Deliverables of LV, MV and HV Systems • High Voltage experience is a particular bonus • Good instrumentation knowledge • Should be familiar with Packaged Plant • Excellent knowledge of codes, standards and legislation • Knowledge of Area Classification and IEC requirements • Good knowledge of interfacing with other engineering disciplines • Able to work with new and existing plant • Able to lead Supervising Engineers and Designers • Excellent skills with customers and suppliers. Job Specification • Position Lead Electrical Engineer • Employment basis Staff • Location Teesside • Responsible to Chief E & I Engineer • Qualifications Degree & Chartered Engineer status • Experience Oil, Gas, Petrochemical or associated Industries • All aspects of electrical engineering and design of system up to 132 KV • Lead Engineer on multi-discipline projects • Development of Electrical project requirements from basic information • Design of power distribution systems • Protection Studies and circuit / system analysis using software packages • Single Line Diagram preparation and development • Specifying Motor Control Centres J Variable Speed Drives • Preparation of Material Requisitions • Review vendor quotations • Technical Bid Evaluation • Attending Factory Acceptance Tests • Site support to Construction team • Risk Assessments for Electrical Engineering & Design works I activities • Liaising with equipment vendors • Preparation of Scope of Work documents for installation works • Technical Meetings with Clients I Vendors • Preparing detailed estimates for Engineering Design and Installation costs • Preparing programmes to support Electrical Engineering / Design activities • Preparation of detail design deliverables • Supervision of other engineers /designers • Lighting and Small power schemes • Participating in HAZOP and Design reviews • Hazardous Area Classification and Reviews • Liaising with other Engineering disciplines • Other Understanding of Instrumentation and small instrumentation projects experience advantageous Candidates must have • Have a HNC or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering • Have sufficient knowledge, skills and experience to comfortably take on the above role • Enjoy a challenge, working as part of a team and working on a number of projects at once • Be able to take on and handle work with a minimum of supervision • Be able to deliver and derive satisfaction from a job well done Please send your application to e-mail: konkursts3_27690@infostud.com Deadline for applications: 19.01.2008.
